Advanced Computer Activity Monitoring

With Advanced Computer Activity Monitoring you can monitor any activity within Windows: processes, objects activity, network traffic... you name it. This is especially helpful when configuring advanced scenarios like nightly backups or patching. Using the Process Monitor you can define thresholds for backup tasks so that the computer will remain active as long as the backup is running. Once the backup is finished and all processes and network traffic have stopped, the countdown will begin. If there is no further activity, the computer will go into standby or shut down.

Wake on LAN across Segments

Auto Shutdown Manager features an advanced Wake on LAN (WOL) feature that can wake up any computer within the network. It will wake up computers that are in other subnets or across switches. You can even create so-called computer cascades where one computer will keep another running for as long as the first is active. If the first goes into standby, minutes later the cascaded computer will enter standby as well.

Reliable VMware Virtual Machine Support

If you run VMware on your servers, Auto Shutdown Manager can reliably suspend a VMware Virtual Machine before the host goes into standby or shutdown. If the host powers up again, Auto Shutdown Manager will automatically start any number of VMware instances, so all your instances are immediately active and reachable. You can connect instantly with Windows Remote Desktop.
